Artist Message

どこかへ行ってしまいそうなものを、
私は、線でとどめてきました。
重さを覚えているお腹の感覚も、
言葉にならなかった心のゆれも、
一度だけ通り過ぎていった時間の気配も。
身体は日々、かたちを変えながら
自分のもののようで、そうではないようにも思えて、
祝福の影に、静かなこわさがありました。
それでも、そこに確かにあったものを
描きとめておきたいと感じました。
これは記憶の記録であり、
手放したくなかった日々との
ささやかな対話でもあります。
線を引くことで、
ふたたび 触れられる気がしたのです。
Things that felt as if they might slip away—
I have tried to hold them in lines.
The weight I once carried in my belly,
the stirrings I could not put into words,
the trace of time that passed only once.
My body changed shape day by day.
It felt like mine, and also not mine.
There was quiet fear beneath the blessing.
Still, I wanted to draw what was truly there.
To preserve it, somehow.
This is a record of memory,
a quiet conversation
with days I wasn’t ready to part with.
By drawing these lines,
I felt I could reach them once again.
